This tool was created to help artists automated material creation and texture assignment process (with a single button click) yet providing some other options so artist can modify it based on its need. This tool has the following features:
• Generating a new material instance with a single click
• Easy to understand GUI
• Generates material instance name based on textures name (can be modified)
• Assigning textures to its corresponding slot inside the material instance
• Setting up the parent material before creation of material instance (can be modified)
• An option to open new material instance after its created.
This tool was created using Python in combination with Unreal Engine’s BluePrint system.
